Window Cleaning: Inside, Outside, or Both? What Valley Homeowners Need to Know

When customers call about window cleaning, the first question is usually: "Do I need inside and outside, or just one?" The honest answer depends on your situation, your budget, and what's actually making your windows look bad.

Exterior windows: the bigger impact

For most Valley homes, exterior windows are where the real difference is. They face rain, pollen, hard water spots from sprinklers, dirt splash from landscaping, and the general grime that accumulates from weather exposure. When people say their windows "look dirty," they're usually seeing the outside.

If you're choosing one or the other, exterior-only gives you the most visible improvement for the money.

Interior windows: the detail work

Interior glass gets fingerprints, cooking film (especially kitchen windows near the stove), pet nose prints, and dust buildup on sills and tracks. Interior cleaning also includes the sills and tracks themselves, which is where dead insects and pollen accumulate.

If you have kids or pets, interior windows need attention more often. If you live alone and don't cook much, interior glass stays clean for a long time.

When to do both

We recommend interior + exterior when:

• You're selling your home (buyers notice windows from both sides)
• It's been more than a year since a professional cleaning
• You're hosting a major event (holiday, graduation party, family reunion)
• You just had soft washing done and want the full exterior refresh

How often

Most of our Valley customers clean windows twice a year: once after pollen season (late May) and once in fall before the holidays. Some homes with a lot of glass or heavy tree cover go three times a year. Commercial properties are typically monthly or quarterly.
