Eight Years Running: You Voted Us the Valley's Favorite Again

It's official - for the eighth year in a row, readers across the Valley have voted Lambert Cleaning first place for cleaning company in The News Virginian's Valley's Favorites. Eight years. Every single year since 2019. I've written a version of this thank-you before, and it doesn't get easier to write - because the longer the streak gets, the more people it belongs to.

What this contest actually is

If you're new to the area: the Valley's Favorites is a readers' choice contest run every year by The News Virginian, the local paper for Waynesboro, Staunton, Augusta County, and Nelson County. There's no application, no judging panel, no paid placement. Neighbors write in and vote for the businesses they actually use and actually trust. That's the whole thing - which is exactly why it means so much to us.

One win could be a good year. Eight consecutive wins, from votes cast by the same community we drive through every morning, is something else entirely. You can see every badge from 2019 through 2026 on our awards page.

To our customers: this is your award

Nobody votes for a cleaning company because of an ad. You voted because of what you found when you walked in the door after a visit - the floors, the bathrooms, the smell of a house that's actually clean. Some of you have been with us since we were a much smaller company, and you've trusted us through moves, new babies, renovations, estate cleanouts, and just the regular every-other-week rhythm of life in the Valley.

Thank you for opening your homes and businesses to us. Thank you for the notes on the counter, the referrals to your neighbors, and the honest feedback when something wasn't right - that feedback is a bigger part of this streak than any of you probably realize. And thank you for taking the time, eight years running, to write our name on a ballot.
