Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to physically blast soil off a surface. Soft washing uses a specialty cleaning solution at low pressure to chemically kill the biological growth at the root. Soft washing is the correct method for siding, stucco, screens, and shingle roofs. Pressure washing is appropriate for concrete driveways, walkways, and similar hard surfaces. How long does soft washing last?
