A family cleaning the valley we call home.
We're not a franchise. We're not a chain. We're our team who show up in Lambert uniforms, live in the same Valley you do, and clean your home the way we'd want ours cleaned.
Where it started
Lambert Cleaning has been cleaning homes and businesses across the central Shenandoah Valley since 2012. What started as a small family operation out of Staunton has grown into a full team of W-2 employees serving Augusta, Rockingham, Rockbridge, Albemarle, and Nelson counties - and we're still run out of the same 2434 W. Beverley Street office we started in.
Joey Lambert founded the company in 2012 and still runs it day to day from our Staunton office. He built Lambert from a one-person operation into a full team of W-2 employees, a fleet of wrapped trucks, and a service lineup that covers everything from recurring maintenance cleaning to soft washing and roof cleaning. He's the one setting the standard every Lambert hire has to meet before they're trusted in a customer's home.
And yes, Dexter - the dog - is real. He's our unofficial Chief Morale Officer. He doesn't actually clean anything, but he does excellent hallway inspections and has a deep commitment to being pet in the hallway on his way through.
What we actually do
Residential cleaning services, plus a full business program. Maintenance cleaning and deep cleans for Valley homes. Carpet cleaning on a bonnet agitation system that leaves your carpet dry in hours, not days. Soft washing for siding and roofs. Window cleaning. Post-construction cleanup for Valley builders and GCs. Move-in and move-out cleans for rental and real estate turnovers. All under one roof, every team trained to the same standard.
We built it this way for a specific reason: Valley homeowners shouldn't have to call six different companies to get their house, their carpet, their windows, and their siding all taken care of. We cover the whole thing so you get one team, one point of contact, and one company that knows your home.
What makes us different
Three things, and they're not small:
- Every member of our team is a W-2 employee. We do not hire contractors, day laborers, or temp agency workers. Every person on a Lambert job is trained by us, paid by us, background-checked by us, and accountable to us. That matters when someone is in your home alone.
- We arrive fully equipped. Every product, every tool, every vacuum attachment, every specialty cloth is already on the truck. You don't supply a paper towel, a bottle of anything, or an outlet extension cord. We've been refining our product stack since 2012, and our 41-point checklist runs on it.
- We walk through every job before we leave. At the end of every visit - whether it's maintenance cleaning, carpet, soft washing, or post-construction - we walk the work with you. That's when problems get caught and fixed, not when they sit for weeks.
The recognition part
Readers of The News Virginian have voted Lambert the Valley's Favorite Cleaning Company every year since 2019, including 2024 - including first place in 2025. Seven years running. That's seven consecutive years of Valley neighbors choosing us in a community readers' choice contest.
Those awards aren't the point of what we do, but they matter. They're a neighbor-to-neighbor endorsement in a contest where the voters are the people we serve. It's the kind of recognition you can't buy.
Where we work
We come to you - we are not a walk-in business. Our office at 2434 W. Beverley Street in Staunton is where we dispatch from, not a place customers visit. From there, our teams reach every corner of the central Shenandoah Valley: Staunton, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Charlottesville, Fishersville, Stuarts Draft, Verona, Crozet, Bridgewater, and every small town and country road in between. Augusta County, Rockingham County, Rockbridge County, Albemarle County, Nelson County. That's our home, and that's the area we serve.
